Bloomberg and DirectBooks said on Monday that they have teamed up to automate workflows in primary bond markets for shared clients.
primary bond markets workflow integration
The companies said the link expands Bloomberg’s primary markets solution. It also aims to help institutional investors handle order and allocation messages faster and with more accuracy.
The integration connects DirectBooks with TSOX, Bloomberg’s fixed income execution management tool within Bloomberg EMS. As a result, clients can stage order messages in TSOX and send them directly into the syndicate order book through DirectBooks.
Allocation messages then return electronically to TSOX and move into the OMS. Bloomberg said this creates an integrated and auditable workflow. It also reduces operational risk and supports real-time position management.
primary bond markets access through AIM
Bloomberg also said clients using Bloomberg AIM will benefit from built-in integration. Newly announced bond details will be available in AIM after publication to the Bloomberg Terminal.
That setup allows portfolio analysis, compliance, and order routing without extra setup, according to the company.
Ravi Sawhney, Head of Product, Buyside Execution at Bloomberg, said the integration with DirectBooks delivers a simplified electronic workflow. Rich Kerschner, Chief Executive Officer of DirectBooks, said client demand drove the move and called it a logical next step in the platform’s evolution.
