WeTrade has signed a multi-year Houston Rockets partnership, the broker said on Monday, adding another sports deal to its marketing push.
Houston Rockets partnership expands WeTrade’s sports push
The agreement gives WeTrade a place inside one of the NBA’s best-known teams. The broker said the deal will focus on digital campaigns and fan activations. It also said it is aiming at a global audience.
WeTrade did not say how much it will pay. The company also said its products are not available to US residents. In addition, it said it is not regulated by any US authority in its own risk disclosure.
George Miltiadous, WeTrade’s group chief executive, linked the deal to sport. “This collaboration brings together the discipline and mindset of elite sport and trading,” he said.
Houston Rockets partnership follows other sports deals
The Houston Rockets partnership follows earlier sponsorships in football and motorsport. WeTrade signed a three-year deal with Paris Saint-Germain and also backs Phantom Global in the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia.
The broker joins other trading firms that have moved into US basketball. STARTRADER became an official NBA partner in January 2026. TMGM also signed a multi-year deal with the Brooklyn Nets in July 2025.
Robinhood started its sports sponsorship run with the Washington Wizards in October 2023. Later, it added jersey patch deals with the Memphis Grizzlies and Miami Heat. Plus500 signed a four-year agreement with the Chicago Bulls in 2022. XTB became a FIBA global partner in April 2026.
The NBA ended its 2024-25 season with 51 marketing partners. Several came from the CFD, fintech and crypto sectors. Meanwhile, Britain’s Financial Conduct Authority warned clubs in June over deals with unauthorized trading and crypto firms.
WeTrade Capital was founded in 2015 and is based in Cyprus. It trades CFDs across forex, indices, metals and other instruments. The broker holds a CySEC license in Cyprus, where it secured authorization earlier in 2025, along with permits in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Australia and Malaysia.
It also added a Securities Dealer License from the Financial Services Authority of Seychelles in 2025. None of those licenses cover the United States, which is why the Houston Rockets partnership is framed as international marketing.
