Nuvei executive appointments added three senior leaders on July 1, as the Montreal-based fintech named Samir Zabaneh as Chief Operating Officer, David McLaughlin as Chief Financial Officer, and Eli Rosner as Chief Product and Technology Officer.
The company said the hires mark its next phase of global growth. Phil Fayer, Chair and CEO of Nuvei, said the new team members strengthen the firm’s ability to carry out its plans worldwide and expand its infrastructure. He also said Samir, David and Eli bring strong leadership experience.
Nuvei Executive Appointments Reshape Leadership Team
Zabaneh joins the executive team after previously serving on Nuvei’s board. He brings more than three decades of work in payments and financial services. Most recently, he led TouchBistro as Chairman and CEO.
Nuvei said Zabaneh will bring its regional operations together under one leadership structure. He will also oversee compliance, risk, and underwriting across the group. In addition, the company said he has held senior roles at Fiserv, Element Fleet Management, Global Payments, and Moneris Solutions.
New CFO and Technology Chief Join
McLaughlin arrives with more than 30 years of experience in payments, fintech, banking, and insurance. Most recently, he served as CFO of Blackhawk Network. There, he oversaw global finance operations and supported margin expansion.
Meanwhile, Rosner joins from HealthEquity, where he served as Chief Product and Technology Officer. Nuvei said he brings more than 35 years of experience in product and enterprise technology. It added that he has also held leadership roles at Finastra and NCR.
At Nuvei, Rosner will focus on platform development and AI driven innovation. The company said the appointments come as it expands its global payments footprint across more than 200 markets.
