Plus500 Reports Higher H1 Revenue as EBITDA Growth Slows

Forex24NewsBy Forex24NewsJuly 13, 2026No Comments3 Mins Read

Plus500 H1 revenue rose 12% to $462.9 million in the first half of 2026, while EBITDA increased just 1% to $187.5 million, according to the broker’s unaudited update on Monday.

The company said higher spending to acquire customers and currency-related cost headwinds weighed on reported results. Even so, Customer Income reached $460.8 million, up 24% from a year earlier. Plus500 said that was its strongest six-month Customer Income figure in five years.

Growth was stronger in the first quarter than in the second. Plus500 reported first-quarter revenue of $242.1 million, which leaves $220.8 million for the second quarter. That second-quarter figure was 5% higher than a year earlier, but about 9% below the first quarter.

Client data also pointed to a softer second quarter. New customers totaled 65,723 in the half, up 17% year on year. However, only 25,856 of those joined in the second quarter, down from 29,268 a year earlier.

Active customers also slipped in the quarter to 131,214 from 132,602. Meanwhile, Customer Income showed a similar pattern. Of the half-year total, $270.6 million came in the first quarter, leaving about $190 million for the three months to June.

Plus500 said underlying performance was stronger on a constant currency basis. The company also said it had deliberately increased customer acquisition spending.

US Business and Full-Year Outlook

Plus500 said its non-OTC business, which includes its US futures and share dealing operations, made up about 15% of group revenue, or roughly $70 million. That segment grew about 30% from a year earlier. Since the US business generated around $35 million in the first quarter, the second quarter appears broadly flat.

During the half, the broker expanded in US prediction markets. In June, it added Kalshi’s CFTC-regulated sports event contracts, after launching its retail platform in February. It also clears for the CME Group and FanDuel event-contracts venture.

Chief Executive David Zruia said the board expects full-year revenue and EBITDA to match market expectations after several upgrades this year. Plus500 said current consensus stands at $811.5 million for revenue and $368.1 million for EBITDA, based on analyst forecasts compiled by Bloomberg.

Zruia also said the half delivered “the strongest Customer Income in five years and the highest revenue in three years.” Plus500 ended June debt free with more than $850 million in cash and will report full H1 results on Monday, August 10.
