cBridge LMAX perpetual futures connectivity is now live, giving brokers access to LMAX Group’s liquidity through MT4, MT5 and FIX API systems they already use.
The two firms said the setup routes an institutional product marketed with leverage of up to 100:1. According to the announcement, LMAX offers perpetual futures in more than 20 markets. Trading runs around the clock, while funding takes place every eight hours.
Contracts settle in fiat, and LMAX accepts collateral in fiat currencies or stablecoins. Meanwhile, the announcement did not name the jurisdictions covered by the arrangement. It also did not say which client groups can use the feed.
cBridge LMAX Perpetual Futures Access
LMAX launched its 100x perpetual contracts in September 2025 for institutional traders. The new cBridge link adds another route into that product. Earlier, LMAX connected with Gold-i and also adopted MetaQuotes’ Ultency for institutional MT5 clients.
As a result, cBridge becomes a third distribution channel for the product. Jenna Wright, Managing Director of Digital Assets at LMAX Group, said the cBridge connection expands institutional access to the firm’s cross-asset range. Alexis Droussiotis, co-General Manager at cBridge, said brokers can add perpetuals by using their existing infrastructure.
cBridge provides price aggregation, order routing, execution, exposure monitoring and reporting in one environment. Additionally, the company said the service is platform agnostic. It also charges a fixed monthly fee instead of billing by traded volume.
ESMA Rules Shape Product Treatment
The source article said ESMA told firms in February that a commercial label does not decide classification. Perpetual futures that meet the definition of a contract for difference fall under EU CFD rules, the regulator said. Therefore, those products face leverage caps, risk warnings, margin close-out rules, negative balance protection and a ban on trading incentives.
For crypto, the retail leverage ceiling is 2:1, the article said, compared with 10x offered by some venues. ESMA also said firms cannot take part in activity meant to bypass product intervention measures. According to the source, brokers in the EU that take this feed would offer it within the CFD rulebook ESMA described in February.
The product range has also moved beyond crypto, with LMAX adding gold perpetuals for XAU/USD trading around the clock and over weekends.
