Eightcap and TTTMarkets Criticize Prop Consistency Rules

Forex24NewsBy Forex24NewsAugust 3, 2026No Comments3 Mins Read

Prop consistency rules came under scrutiny in July interviews with Eightcap Challenges and TTTMarkets, as both firms questioned parts of the model but kept their own versions.

Adam Bock, Head of Eightcap Challenges, said he would remove “profit consistency” from the prop trading industry. Meanwhile, TTTMarkets Founder and Director Archie Cade said some rival rules are set up more to trap traders. Both comments appeared in separate interviews published by ResponsibleTrading.com in July.

Eightcap uses a rule called Profit Distribution. It caps how much of a payout request can come from a single trading day during the Payout Stage. Current terms set the cap at 30% for newer One-Phase accounts and 35% for newer Two-Phase accounts. Lower limits apply to accounts opened before February 11.

Eightcap Defends Its Prop Consistency Rules

Bock said Profit Distribution creates the most disputes at Eightcap. However, he said the firm keeps the rule to support steady trading methods and risk management. ResponsibleTrading.com published the Eightcap interview on July 15 and later updated it at the end of the month.

Eightcap left prop brokerage relationships in early 2024 during MetaQuotes restrictions on brokers offering MetaTrader access to prop-linked U.S. accounts. Bock said the firm first aimed to protect its core business. He also pointed to concerns about prop sector marketing, unrealistic promises and trust.

Eightcap returned in November 2025 with its own simulated trading products. The company says it supported more than 300,000 challenges across 40 prop and education brands from 2021 to 2024. Eightcap Challenges is run by Eightcap International Ltd in Seychelles, although the Challenges site says the products are not issued under regulated brokerage or investment permissions held by the operator.

TTTMarkets Sets Its Own Prop Consistency Rules

Cade spoke to ResponsibleTrading.com on July 31. He said TTTMarkets applies consistency checks on at least its 1-Step funded accounts. Reviews look at whether profits followed program rules and whether traders used one-off trades, coordinated hedging or other banned activity.

According to Cade, a consistency issue usually changes the reward instead of blocking a payout. He said the rule is common in the industry, but added that TTTMarkets does not use it mainly to avoid payments. Meanwhile, he said about 95% of the firm’s clients still trade prop firm challenges.

TTTMarkets started a limited rollout of its CFD brokerage in January. The Saint Lucia-registered firm plans to run that offering through MetaTrader 5 and its own technology. Cade also said sensible regulation would help traders, with future rules likely to focus on capital, liquidity, governance and transparency.
