BitDelta UAE CMA licence approval allows BitDelta Securities Financial Services LLC to operate under the United Arab Emirates’ Capital Market Authority Category 5, Arrangement and Advice framework.
The company said the approval completed the regulator’s licensing process. That process covered capital, governance and operational requirements. Moreover, BitDelta said the full approval followed an in-principle approval it received earlier this year.
Following the decision, BitDelta Securities started operating from its office in the Tamani Arts Offices Building in Business Bay, Dubai. The company said the site will act as its operating hub for the UAE and the wider Gulf Cooperation Council region.
BitDelta UAE CMA Licence Scope
Under the Category 5 licence, BitDelta Securities can act as an introducing broker in the UAE. The company said it may introduce eligible retail and professional investors to licensed international brokers. Those brokers offer foreign exchange, commodities, precious metals, indices, equities, bonds, exchange-traded funds, futures, options and spot market products.
However, BitDelta said its role stays limited to introductions. It does not hold or manage client funds. It also does not execute trades or give investment advice beyond what the licence allows. Instead, clients make trading decisions, while the introduced brokers handle execution and custody.
Group Chief Executive Officer Demetrios Zamboglou said the company had set up a local presence in the UAE. According to the company, the Dubai office will support client onboarding, compliance, regulatory affairs and partner relations.
India Expansion and Iress Partnership
The BitDelta UAE CMA licence came as the group expanded in other markets. In April, the company launched its FIU-registered virtual digital asset trading platform in India. As a result, it entered that market as a Virtual Digital Asset Service Provider.
Separately, BitDelta Pro signed a multi-year partnership with financial technology provider Iress. Under that deal, BitDelta Pro will use Iress trading and market data technology, including platforms, market data tools, API and FIX connectivity. The company said it will use those tools as it adds equities and contracts for difference to its offering.
