Coinbase chainlink tokenized stocks will use Chainlink as the official oracle system for the exchange’s new Tokenized Stocks on Base.
Coinbase said on Monday that Chainlink will power pricing data for the product through Chainlink Data Feeds. As a result, builders on Base can access live prices for tokenized stocks tied to Nvidia, Meta, Apple, and Alphabet. Coinbase said this step extends the use of the tokens across the Base DeFi ecosystem.

Chainlink said the data lets DeFi platforms work with these tokenized equities in more ways. For example, lending markets, decentralized exchanges, and structured product platforms can use them as collateral. Therefore, the tokens can move beyond simple holding and become part of broader DeFi activity.
Coinbase said its Tokenized Stocks are real equity securities issued as standard B20 tokens on Base. Each token has one-to-one backing from an underlying share. Coinbase added that Alpaca holds those shares in regulated custody under the Abu Dhabi Global Market framework.
Tokenized Equities Expand Across DeFi
The companies said tokenized equities have become one of the fastest-growing real-world asset segments. Notably, the category reached a record $2.3 billion by mid-July 2026.
Antonio Garcia-Martinez said Base has built a strong DeFi ecosystem, and that Chainlink’s oracle setup adds new use cases for tokenized assets. Meanwhile, Johann Eid said tokenized assets reach their full value when the wider market can build with them across DeFi.
Chainlink also said the pricing data supports round-the-clock collateral management. As a result, Base users can earn yield and borrow against U.S. stocks. The companies said the tokenized stocks are offered only in eligible jurisdictions outside the United States.
