MetaTrader 5 Build 6030 adds native AI agent access through the Model Context Protocol, or MCP, in a new beta release from MetaQuotes. The company released the build on Thursday, July 16, 2026. It extends AI use beyond MQL5 coding tools into charts, market data, trading accounts, and execution workflows through one interface.
Earlier MetaEditor updates focused on coding help, including Copilot support, ONNX models, and GPT integration. However, MetaTrader 5 Build 6030 uses MCP as a shared interface for outside AI agents. As a result, the platform can connect with tools such as Codex and Claude Code without relying on one provider.
MetaTrader 5 Build 6030 AI Features
The built-in AI Assistant can study markets and explain trading activity. It can also create and debug Expert Advisors, flag code errors, and help with strategy testing. Meanwhile, the update moves AI support from development tasks into more parts of the trading workflow.
The source article said MetaQuotes is not the only firm using an open protocol for AI access. Spotware Systems opened cTrader to AI agents through cTrader AI Agent Connect, which uses two MCP servers and a workflow library. A remote server works through cTrader Web and covers account actions, order and position management, and market data queries.
Identity and Broker Tools Expanded
Build 6030 also adds unified client accounts protected by passkeys. Therefore, users can manage several trading accounts under one profile. The change affects how traders sign in across the platform rather than the AI layer itself.
On the broker side, MetaQuotes expanded Ultency, its liquidity and pricing engine. The update adds synthetic instruments, floating execution markups, and more routing options. According to the source, these changes give brokers on Ultency more control over how they build and route prices for end clients.
The source also noted that TradingView chose a different setup for AI access. Its AI Chart Copilot works as a Chrome browser extension in the side panel next to charts. In addition, ThinkMarkets launched an MCP server that lets traders connect any AI LLM of their choice. Nauman Anees, CEO of ThinkMarkets, said AI cannot access traders’ funds or handle deposits or withdrawals, but it can execute orders.
