Devexperts options on futures went live with MetroTrade, the first broker to deploy the new function on the brokerage platform. The rollout expands Devexperts’ listed derivatives offering. It also places the company in a segment served by Trading Technologies, CQG and Broadridge.
MetroTrade now offers CME-listed futures and options on futures to its retail clients through its web and mobile platform. According to Devexperts, the module lets brokers add options-on-futures trading without building the core function themselves. As a result, brokers can widen their derivatives offering through Devexperts’ technology.
Devexperts Options on Futures Features
The software covers CME-listed options on futures in equity indices, energy and metals. It also includes an options chain, multi-leg trading and an earnings analyser. Devexperts built these tools into MetroTrader’s single-account interface.
Devexperts developed the solution with MetroTrade, which is already its technology partner. MetroTrade President David Klotz said the firms built the supporting setup from the ground up. Meanwhile, the MetroTrade launch gives Devexperts its first live use case for the product.
MetroTrade Becomes First Live Client
Jon Light, Senior Director of Product Management at Devexperts, said the new function will give MetroTrade traders more ways to use advanced strategies. He also said it will offer greater flexibility. Additionally, the launch broadens the listed derivatives range available through the Devexperts platform.
Options-on-futures support already exists at Trading Technologies, CQG and Broadridge. However, the MetroTrade rollout marks Devexperts’ first live implementation in that product category.
