FP Trading Secures UAE CMA Category 5 Licence

Forex24NewsBy Forex24NewsAugust 24, 2026No Comments2 Mins Read

FP Trading UAE licence gives the broker its first onshore regulatory approval in the country, covering marketing, promotion, and client introduction work.

The company said it now holds a Category 5 licence from the UAE Capital Market Authority. The regulator was formerly known as the Securities and Commodities Authority. Moreover, FP Trading described the approval as its first onshore licence in the UAE.

According to the firm, the licence lets its UAE entity promote services and introduce clients to its regulated brokerage entities. However, those entities in other jurisdictions will still handle trade execution and client funds. The company said the new approval expands its regulatory setup without changing that structure.

FP Trading UAE Licence Covers Local Activities

FP Trading said the move forms part of a wider regional plan. It wants to build direct, locally regulated operations instead of serving markets from abroad. Additionally, the firm pointed to the UAE’s rising role as a financial hub.

The company said brokers, fintech firms, and other financial services groups have increasingly pursued onshore status in the UAE. It said that approach can help firms build stronger links with local clients. As a result, FP Trading sees the licence as a step toward a deeper presence in the market.

Regional Expansion Plan Continues

FP Trading said the licence should help both clients and partners. It added that the approval may support closer work with introducing brokers and affiliates in the region. Meanwhile, Narayan Joshi said the licence allows the company to work more closely with clients and partners in the UAE.

Joshi, General Manager of FP Trading, said the move reflects a long-term commitment to the region. He also said it fits the firm’s broader effort to expand its regulatory presence. The company added that it plans to grow its regulatory footprint in other markets, with more updates on licensing and infrastructure investment expected in the coming months.
