Marex Q2 results showed record second-quarter and first-half 2026 performance, with adjusted profit before tax rising 56% to $165.9 million in the quarter.
Marex Group Limited said second-quarter revenue climbed 39% from a year earlier to $695.8 million. Meanwhile, profit after tax more than doubled to $155.3 million, and basic EPS rose 103% to $2.09. The company also said adjusted profit before tax margin widened by 250 basis points to 23.8%.
Marex linked the margin gain to a larger contribution from higher-margin, infrastructure-intensive businesses. For the first half of 2026, revenue reached $1,388.1 million, up 43%. Adjusted profit before tax for the six-month period increased 57% to $318.6 million.
Marex Q2 Results Across Business Segments
All four business segments posted growth in the second quarter. Market Making rose 106% to $118.2 million. The company said broad-based gains and the integration of Winterflood drove that increase.
Hedging and Investment Solutions advanced 74% to $71.0 million. Agency and Execution grew 35% to $351.0 million. Clearing also increased 16% to $161.3 million, helped by record client balances.
Strategic Moves During the Period
Group CEO Ian Lowitt said Marex has lifted adjusted profit before tax year on year in every quarter since its IPO but one over the last five years. He credited the firm’s diversified platform and deeper client ties. He also said Marex now has 77 clients that each generate more than $5 million in annualized revenue.
Separately, Marex completed its redomiciliation to Bermuda on July 1. It also issued a combined $1 billion in hybrid capital and senior notes. In addition, the firm moved forward with acquisitions including Bright Point, Levmet and Webb Traders, and sold Winterflood’s custody business for a roughly $35 million pre-tax gain.
