Payoneer Gurugram hub opened in India on July 13, 2026, as the company set up a new base for technology work and business operations.
The new site is in Sector 42, Gurugram. Payoneer said the office already includes teams in engineering, go-to-market, and Workforce Management. The company also said it plans to grow the hub further as it increases spending on innovation and global growth.
Payoneer Gurugram Hub Expands AI Work
Payoneer said the new center will help build its artificial intelligence work. It will bring together engineering, product, data, AI, compliance technology, and operations teams. As a result, the hub will support core platform work and AI-based user experiences.
The company said it chose Gurugram because of its strong pool of engineering and AI talent. It also cited the city’s ability to support work across global time zones around the clock. Meanwhile, the hub will serve as a key center for both product development and business functions.
India Role in Payoneer Growth
Oren Ryngler, Chief Product and Technology Officer at Payoneer, said India sits at the center of the company’s future plans. He said the firm is working to become an AI native business. He also said the Gurugram site is part of Payoneer’s global innovation plan, not just a support office.
Gaurav Gupta, SVP and Platform Site Leader for India, said the country has one of the deepest pools of fintech and AI engineering talent. He added that this gives India a strong position as AI moves from testing into wider business use.
Payoneer has also widened its presence in India. The company holds in-principle authorization from the Reserve Bank of India to operate as a Payment Aggregator. Additionally, it recently bought Skuad, which now operates as Payoneer Workforce Management.
