Webull Expands PaperTrade With Multi-Asset Access

Forex24NewsBy Forex24NewsJuly 21, 2026No Comments2 Mins Read

Webull paperTrade upgrade expands the broker’s simulated trading tool to cover crypto, futures, bonds, and event contracts, alongside stocks and options.

Webull said Tuesday that the update marks one of the biggest changes to the feature since launch. So far, users have placed more than 204 million simulated orders on the platform.

The company said it rebuilt the experience to more closely match its live platform. As a result, users can use the same workflows and advanced tools without putting real money at risk.

Webull PaperTrade Upgrade Adds New Tools

The update broadens paper trading across six asset groups. Additionally, Webull added more advanced options order features and a new pricing engine.

The company said the pricing engine aims to better match live market conditions. It also aims to improve how simulated trades are filled.

Webull also launched a separate interface for the feature. Meanwhile, users can switch between live and paper trading without losing their saved layouts.

OpenAPI Access Extends Testing Options

Webull paperTrade upgrade also includes OpenAPI access for the simulated platform. Therefore, developers and AI-driven apps can connect to the system and test trading workflows in a paper setting.

Anthony Denier, Group President and U.S. CEO of Webull, said paper trading has been one of the platform’s most used features because it lets investors learn through practice. He added that Webull rebuilt the product to combine the tools of its live platform in one realistic simulation.

Jack Keating, CEO of Webull Tech US and Head of Institutional, said the OpenAPI expansion gives developers and advanced traders a safer place to build and refine strategies before moving to live markets.

The company expects to start rolling out the updates later this month.
