Interactive Brokers ChatGPT Grok integration now lets clients use the two AI tools for trading tasks, with new support for options and futures.
The broker said on Monday that clients can link existing accounts to ChatGPT and Grok through certified marketplaces. As a result, users do not need to open new accounts or share sensitive credentials. Once connected, clients can use plain language to review holdings, study markets, and create trading instructions.
The update also broadens the list of products covered by AI-generated instructions. Clients can now create orders for options, futures, and futures options. Previously, the tools covered equities and exchange-traded funds.
Interactive Brokers ChatGPT Grok Expands Tools
Interactive Brokers said clients still control every trade. The system creates order instructions from user prompts. However, clients must check and approve each instruction before it goes to market.
CEO Milan Galik said investor demand for AI tools keeps rising. He said the addition of ChatGPT and Grok, along with options and futures support, gives clients more ways to connect AI tools to Interactive Brokers for research, analysis, and execution.
The broker said the tools can help users find options strategies and study technical indicators such as relative strength index levels. Additionally, clients can compare portfolio results with benchmarks and create futures orders with simple commands.
Broader AI Push at Interactive Brokers
The new links add to other AI features already on the platform. These include AI-based screeners, thematic investment tools, portfolio analysis features, and automated news summaries tied to client holdings.
The company said the move extends its AI offering after an earlier link with Anthropic’s Claude. Meanwhile, the expansion comes as more brokers add AI to trading workflows to make market research and trading tasks easier for clients.
